DaveValvo > Rt. 390 bridge over the Genesee River w plane taking off from airport in Rochester, NY. This was a difficult image to capture. I had to go back to this location many times to get the light right. At close to the summer solstice the sun would move across the opening of Rt 390 that passes over the Genesee River. But I wanted the sun to light up the right side of the over pass and then the left side. So I photographed the right side and waited for the sun to pass by the opening and light up the other side. Then I put the two images together. While I was waiting numerous airplanes would go by... but the sun was in the way. So I waited and waited until almost sundown for a plane to go through. By the way, the engineers that built this bridge received a design award. The plaque is under the bridge.
